Topics;

Write a 5-6 paragraph, 500 word essay in which you state your opinion and give advice on one of the following topics.

1) the best choices to eat healthfully on a limited budget.
2) how to improve the food and food education at a school, college or daycare. Alternately, you can argue to change policy on this topic at the city, state or national level.
3) how to consider the plight of workers who produce our food (an idea you should explain) when we shop, cook and eat.

For any of these, pick an "imaginary" audience - this can be your aunt, your son's pre-school director or President Obama. If you want to write the essay as a letter to your audience, that would be ok.
